Seek first

How does one START a blog…… literally. What should be the very first inaugural post? 

That can be a very intimidating question, considered first impressions are important.  

Some would say, an introduction to the author. Others may say a sort of synopsis on what the content will be.

lol if you can’t tell yet, I’m a bit of an over-thinker. I’m a very literal person… and I have to remind myself to not get stuck in the details, which is exactly what I’ve done over the last three weeks since I decided to listen to what GOD is telling me, and…….

DO THE BLOG, LISA   

Yes, Lord. I will. Thank YOU for having patience with me while I worked through the fleshly concerns… the worry, the anxiety… 

So, putting aside the flesh to rest fully in the Spirit… what does GOD want….

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.” (Mat 6:33)


When I go in seek of the kingdom of GOD, I’m grateful HE gave me eyes to truly see the beauty HE graced us with.  Did HE need to create so many shades of blue? No, not likely.  That was created for our enjoyment.  If the devil is in the details…. 


then GOD must be in the big picture… the zoom out, maximum view, the expanse.  Those moments when you scale back your world…. That’s where you will find GOD




We also must seek HIS righteousness, remembering the two great rules our saviour Jesus Christ taught…..


“Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. 

And the second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” (Mat 22:37-40)



So, I guess this is how you start a blog….

 Margaret Atwood said in her Master Class…..”to become a better writer, you must write more.”  Another quote attributed to this great Canadian author is   “Nobody knows where ideas come from, but let us say, if you immerse yourself in something, whether it be music, painting, or writing…you are going to get ideas about it.
