“Nobody knows where ideas come from, but let us say, if you immerse yourself in something, whether it be music, painting, or writing…you are going to get ideas about it. But you have to do the immersing first. You're not just sitting there, waiting for lightning to strike.”
I have one of those school year memory books with the pockets for each grade, to keep your memorabilia in. It has the typical questions for school aged kids, who are your best friends… what is your favourite subject… and of course, what do you want to be when you grow up?
In the grade school section of this book, there’s a variety of tick boxes with the typical teacher, doctor, policeman, artist, writer among many others… and in my typical grade school mindset I selected an awful lot of these boxes
