Write

Margaret Atwood said in her Master Class…..”to become a better writer, you must write more.”

Another quote attributed to this great Canadian author is

“Nobody knows where ideas come from, but let us say, if you immerse yourself in something, whether it be music, painting, or writing…you are going to get ideas about it. But you have to do the immersing first. You're not just sitting there, waiting for lightning to strike.”

I have one of those school year memory books with the pockets for each grade, to keep your memorabilia in.  It has the typical questions for school aged kids, who are your best friends… what is your favourite subject… and of course, what do you want to be when you grow up?

In the grade school section of this book, there’s a variety of tick boxes with the typical teacher, doctor, policeman, artist, writer among many others… and in my typical grade school mindset I selected an awful lot of these boxes

“Writer” begins to be particularly well underlined circled and starred from around age 8.
I do also notice in my pre-pubescent era that I was already frustrated at a world that generalizes occupations in to being better suited for males 😊

I’ve always loved writing. I buy pens and journals and notebooks and writing prompt books with the intention to write, but when I sit the subject escapes me. lol, I want to write… but lack inspiration.

That is, until I started to read the Bible daily, on October 23,2024.   Since that day almost a year ago, I’ve filled pages and pages and pages.  The inspiration found in the Word of GOD will have me writing for many years to come.
I’ve noted to myself, that I can flip it open to any page… read any verse…. And launch in to so many words that I run out of ink.

Don’t take my word for it.
